StereoForest is an independent studio that creates, directs, and produces both scripted and improvised podcasts delivered to audio and video platforms. We are experimenting with new creative ways to produce podcasts, digital shows, and audio dramas. StereoForest does all of our podcast production in Canada.
The podcast studio is run by Jen deHaan (Jen’s bio here, or Work With Us!) on Vancouver Island, Canada. All podcasts, graphics, marketing, and web assets are made in Canada. By a human.
All of our podcasts and shows are made entirely by humans, the entire process from concept to what you see or hear.
Some StereoForest shows and projects are co-created with podcast creators from around the world. All of the shows you see on this site are fully produced in Canada. See each show’s page for more information.
What we use for podcast production in Canada
We currently use technologies like OBS, graphics/video and audio editing, and more to produce and deliver online shows and podcasts. These technologies are used on their own and integrated.
Podcast production assets
Assets for shows and marketing are all created in-house here in Canada, and when not possible some creative assets (like sound FX and music) are licensed from a source that does not allow generative AI for the audio/visual assets that we use.
Where our site and podcasts are hosted
This site is hosted by a Canadian company. We support and prioritize Canadian companies, products, and creators whenever possible. Our podcasts are hosted by a company based in U.K.
About AI usage and our productions
StereoForest’s podcast production does not use generative AI to create audio, visuals, video, voices or other creative assets for producing our shows, websites, or marketing (including copy and graphic design). We do not use any generative AI to create our shows, all of our voices are human and creative assets made by humans, and we will never license anything we do to AI.
